President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari awarded NBP Chairman and President Qamar Hussain 'Gold Medal on Corporate Social Responsibility' during the 36th FPCCI Export Trophy Awards at Governor Sindh House. This award is a top slot award and is given on the basis of overall NBP contributions and donations for charitable, social, educational and public welfare purposes.

NBP mainly contributes in health, education, community development, disaster relief, women emancipation, infrastructure development, environment, water purification and sanitation, special children, sports and culture. This award is the highest in the jurisdiction CSR of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

The event was attended by Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, NBP Chief Operating Officer Dr Asif A Brohi, Vice President & Divisional Head Corporate Communication Syed Ibne Hassan, other senior executives of NBP and other federal and provincial ministers, top bureaucrats, foreign diplomats, FPCCI members and other social elite.-PR
